Doing Research in Germany - Sponsorship Opportunities for Post-Doc and Experienced Researchers

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation promotes academic cooperation between excellent scientists and scholars from abroad and from Germany. To this end, it grants more than 800 research fellowships and research awards annually. These allow highly qualified scientists and scholars from all over the world to come to Germany to work on a research project they have chosen themselves together with a host and collaborative partner. Every year, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables more than 2,000 researchers from all over the world to spend time researching in Germany. The Foundation maintains a network of well over 24,000 Humboldtians from all disciplines in more than 130 countries worldwide – including 44 Nobel Prize winners.
