The LL.M. and J.D. programs at UMKC

some information about the LL.M. and J.D. programs at UMKC:

· Scholarships. We have earmarked more than $150,000 in scholarship funds that can be used to help support Chinese students in both programs. There is one full-tuition scholarship for the J.D. program and one full-tuition scholarship for the LL.M. program, and approximately 10 partial scholarships (worth USD $10,000 to USD $20,000 each per year).

· Outstanding value. UMKC has been recognized as an outstanding value for legal education in the U.S. All of the Chinese students attending UMKC have partial tuition scholarships which currently reduce the cost of educational fees to USD $15,500 for the LL.M. and USD $15,500 per year for the J.D.

· Bar Exam Success. UMKC has an exceptionally good bar passage rate in Missouri and in New York. UMKC has its own bar exam preparation program to give graduate extra help to prepare for the exam.

· Transfer Opportunity. Students who are successful in the LL.M. program may transfer to the J.D. program without taking the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).

· Exceptional support. Students may attend a Summer Legal English Workshop and a Summer Enrichment program to prepare for law studies. Tutorials are available to students, and most students qualify for extra time on examinations.
